Welcome to ShoreDog!

Shoreline Dog Off-leash Group (ShoreDog) is a non-profit volunteer stewardship group that is dedicated to establishing and supporting neighborhood dog off-leash areas within the City of Shoreline where well behaved canine citizens can exercise, play and socialize with other dogs and their people in a clean, safe environment.

We currently have two off-leash areas in Shoreline, Shoreview Off-Leash Park which is a traditional fenced park and Richmond Beach Saltwater Park which is unfenced and open from Nov. 1 - March 15. (History)

Tax-Exempt Status Granted

The IRS has just approved ShoreDOG as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non-profit. We're very excited about the new potential for donations, which may now be eligible for corporate matching. In addition, all kinds of donations (monetary, materials, and service) may be deducted to the extent allowed by tax law. Contact your accountant for tax advice, and email Kate (development@shoredog.org) to inquire about opportunities for charitable giving. Many thanks to all our supporters!

East Shoreline Off-Leash Committee

It is ShoreDog's goal to continue to create off-leash areas in our neighborhoods. Now that we have two sites under our belts (Shoreview and Richmond Beach), it's time to start the ball rolling investigating sites on the east side of Shoreline (east of Aurora). From past experience, this will be a longer-term project and will include activities such as: site evaluation, working with City Staff and Parks Board members, and making presentations to neighborhood associations and to the Parks Board.

If you are enthusiastic about an eastside off-leash area and would like to commit to this project, please send us an email telling us a little bit about yourself and how you could contribute to this effort.
